Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya?

Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya?

Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal, Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya? These are one of some common questions arouse from the various parts of the world. Many interesting Taj Mahal facts and myths have surfaced over the years. India’s most iconic mausoleum, inspired by love, has awed millions of visitors with its serene beauty.  It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th Century.  Following are the Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal that might surprise you.

Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal

Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya?

The minarets were built tilting outwards to protect the Taj from calamities like earthquakes. If you observe carefully, you’ll find that the four minarets are tilting outwards. Thi s was done so that in the event of a natural disaster, like earthquake, the minars won’t fall on the main ‘ gumbad ‘ or Dome, thereby ensuring the safety of the Tomb.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]2[/mks_dropcap]Conspiracy about the name Taj Mahal

The term Tajmahal itself never occurs in any mogul court paper or chronicle even in Aurangzeb’s time. The attempt to explain it away as Taj-e-mahal is therefore, ridiculous. The ending “Mahal” is never muslim because in none of the muslim countries around the world from Afghanistan to Algeria is there a building known as “Mahal”. The unusual explanation of the term Tajmahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal, who is buried in it, is illogical in at least two respects viz., firstly her name was never Mumtaj Mahal but Mumtaz-ul-Zamani and secondly one cannot omit the first three letters “Mum” from a woman’s name to derive the remainder as the name of the building. Since the lady’s name was Mumtaz (ending with ‘Z’) the name of the building derived from her should have been Taz Mahal, if at all, and not Taj (spelled with a ‘J’).

Several European visitors of Shahjahan’s time allude to the building as Taj-e-Mahal is almost the correct tradition, age old Sanskrit name Tej-o-Mahalaya, signifying a Shiva temple. Contrarily Shahjahan and Aurangzeb scrupulously avoid using the Sanskrit term and call it just a holy grave.

The tomb should be understood to signify NOT A BUILDING but only the grave or centotaph inside it. This would help people to realize that all dead muslim courtiers and royalty including Humayun, Akbar, Mumtaz, Etmad-ud-Daula and Safdarjang have been buried in capture Hindu mansions and temples.

Moreover, if the Taj is believed to be a burial place, how can the term Mahal, i.e., mansion apply to it? Since the term Taj Mahal does not occur in mogul courts it is absurd to search for any mogul explanation for it. Both its components namely, ‘Taj’ and’ Mahal’ are of Sanskrit origin.

Taj Mahal has 5 levels. On two of its visible levels/floors, there are two Kabars of Mumtaz. When did you see a kabar built on 1st floor, so above from the ground ? The intent was clear – t0 snatch the structure away from Rajputs – build kabars on every floor and declare it as a property of Mughal empire.

Entrance to lower basement floor that is now bricked up (on the left). The timber door before it was sealed up with bricks. In 1974 American Professor Marvin Mills took a sample from this door for Carbon dating and concluded that the Taj Mahal pre-dates Shahjahan. After this revelation, the Government of India removed the timber doors and the openings were bricked up, as shown in the photo on the left.

Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya?
You can see blocked doorways and windows where there are several rooms in the 19 foot high plinth. This would be where entrances would lead to many pathways to the rooms within.

A huge ventilator of one of the 22 rooms in a secret storey of the Taj, is seen here crudely sealed with unplastered bricks by Shahjahan.
Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya?
One of the 22 riverside rooms in a secret storey of the Taj Mahal, unknown to the public. Shahjahan, far from building the shining marble Taj, wantonly disfigured it. Here he has crudely walled up a doorway. Such imperial Mogul vandalism lies hidden from the public. This room is in the red stone storey immediately below the marble platform.
    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]4[/mks_dropcap]The Interior Water Well aka Treasure Well

Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya?

A royal staircase descends right down to the water level indicated by the tiny white patch showing the sun’s reflection. This was the traditional treasury well of the Hindu temple palace. Treasure chests used to be stacked in the lower stories. Accountants, cashiers and treasurers sat in the upper stories. Cheques called handies used to be issued from here. The circular stairs made it difficult for intruders to reach down to the treasury or to escape with it undetected or unpursued. In case the premises had to be surrendered to a besieging enemy the treasure could be pushed into the well to remain hidden from the conquerer and remain safe for salvaging if the place was reconquered. For real research, water should be pumped out of this well to reveal the evidence that lies at the bottom.

This well is inside a tower near the so-called mosque to the west of the marble Taj.Such an elaborate multistoried well is superflous for a mere mausoleum. Such a grand, gigantic well is unneccesary for a tomb.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]5[/mks_dropcap]Taj Mahal was a Shiv Temple?
Top 5 Mysterious facts about Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya?
This is the Dhatura flower essential for Hindu Shiva worship. The flower is depicted in the shape of the sacred, esoteric Hindu incantation ‘OM.’ Embossed designs of this blooming ‘OM’ are drawn over the exterior of the octagonal central sanctorum of Shiva where now a fake grave in Mumtaz’s has been planted. While perambulating around the central chamber one may see such ‘OM’ designs

The Taj Mahal was built with a blend of Indian, Persian and Islamic styles of architecture, and is considered the magnum opus of Mughal era’s architectural exploits. However, in an Indian writer, P. N. Oak, went on to claim that the Taj Mahal was actually a Shiv Temple and a Rajput palace, Tejo Mahalaya, built by a Hindu king Parmar Dev, and had been seized by Shah Jahan. His petition in 2000 to declare the same, and excavate the site for proof, was dismissed by the High Court.

Many religious conflicts surround this popular historical monument. Many people believe that it was originally a temple of Lord Shiva. The rooms that are sealed have the statues of Lord Shiva inside them. Government also doesn’t want any further conflicts to arise therefore the rooms are sealed. Investigating further into this matter might give birth to Hindu-Muslim conflicts.

Five years after Oak’s failed endeavor, Mishra approached the Allahabad High Court to raise a similar point in the name of the long deceased monarch. Mishra’s movement was similarly unsuccessful. However, in 2015, the district court of Agra allowed a new lawsuit claiming this, so it seems as though this theory isn’t going away anytime soon.

There can’t be any historical monument in India without mysteries. There must be some hidden treasures, secret rooms and passages, unknown stories etc. TajMahal is no exception. People claim that it was built even before the Mughals invaded India. No matter what…the monument is known as the epitome of Love all over the world. People come from far away places to admire the beauty of Taj Mahal.

Top 5 Strange Deaths of Amazing Writers

The Mysterious Death of  the 29-year-old English poet and playwright, Christopher Marlowe. On May 30, 1593, writer Christopher Marlowe arrived at a lodging house for drinks with friends and never emerged. At least, not alive. After a long day of drinking, the Tamburlaine author and a companion named Ingram Frizer got into an argument over the bar tab. After the exchange of “divers malicious words,” according to the coroner’s report, the two men began to brawl.

Frizer withdrew his dagger and plunged it into Marlowe’s head just above his right eye, a two-inch deep wound that ended the playwright’s life instantly. A good argument for agreeing to go Dutch ahead of time. Here’s another thought for the conspiracy theorists: People who subscribe to Marlovian Theory believe that Marlowe faked his death and fled the country to avoid his impending inquisition.

On October 3, Poe was found at Gunner’s Hall, a public house at 44 East Lombard Street, and was taken to the hospital. The mystery surrounding Poe’s death has led to many myths and urban legends. The reality is that no one knows for sure what happened during the last few days of his life.

Some biographers believed that Poe had a raging case of alcoholism – did he drink himself to death? His dark writing, coupled with his mysterious death, has made him one of the most famous macabre figures in history.

Top 5 Strange Deaths of Amazing Writers

At the 3rd position of Top 5 Strange Deaths of Amazing Writers, it’s Adeline Virginia Woolf, known professionally as Virginia Woolf, was an English writer and one of the foremost modernists of the twentieth century. Virginia Woolf struggled with depression all of her life. She first attempted suicide in 1904 at the age of 22.
The onset of World War II, the destruction of her London home during the Blitz, and the cool reception given to her biography of her late friend Roger Fry all worsened her condition until she was unable to work. On 28 March 1941, Woolf drowned herself by filling her overcoat pockets with stones and walking into the River Ouse near her home. Woolf’s body was not found until 18 April 1941. Her husband buried her cremated remains beneath an elm tree in the garden of Monk’s House.

The suicide note she left behind for her husband , her life for nearly 30 years, was heartbreaking.

“I feel certain that I am going mad again. I feel we can’t go through another of those terrible times. And I can’t recover this time. “Everything has gone from me but the certainty of your goodness. I can’t go on spoiling your life any longer. I don’t think two people could have been happier than we have been. V.”

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]4[/mks_dropcap]Zelda Fitzgerald

Top 5 Strange Deaths of Amazing Writers

Zelda Fitzgerald was an American socialite and novelist. The marriage of Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald seemed charmed at first: two beautiful, talented young lovers who were the stars of the Jazz Age literary scene.

Beneath the surface of their marriage, however, Scott and Zelda were an increasingly unhappy couple. Their personalities clashed in an environment made stressful by their extravagant lifestyle. In 1930 Zelda suffered a breakdown and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. In 1936, Zelda Fitzgerald entered the Highland Mental Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, where she stayed on and off for the rest of her life.

On 10 March 1948, the hospital caught fire. Zelda was killed, along with eight other patients.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]5[/mks_dropcap]Percy Bysshe Shelley

Top 5 Strange Deaths of Amazing Writers

Percy Bysshe Shelley was one of the major English Romantic poets, and is regarded by some as among the finest lyric, as well as epic, poets in the English language. Percy Bysshe Shelley was born on 4 August 1792 in Horsham, Sussex, England. On 8 July 1822, less than a month before his 30th birthday, Shelley drowned in a sudden storm on the Gulf of Spezia . Shelley’s body washed ashore weeks later. He was cremated on the shore with a handful of friends, including the poet Lord Byron, in attendance.

Some believed his death was not accidental, that Shelley was depressed and wanted to die; others suggest he simply did not know how to navigate. More fantastical theories, including the possibility of pirates mistaking the boat for Byron’s, also circulated. There is a small amount of material, though scattered and contradictory, suggesting that Shelley may have been murdered for political reasons.

Top 5 famous website shutdowns. Websites come and go all the time, but it’s always a shock when a popular site that everyone uses gets shut down.

Here is the list of Top 5 famous website shutdowns that gave a heartbreak to millions of daily users.

    Top 5 famous website shutdowns-Torrentz,Yify,Kat

This unexpected shutdown of Torrentz, the Online Piracy Search Engine is at the top of our list of  Top 5 famous website shutdowns. Founded in 2003, Torrentz has been a stable factor in the torrent community for over 13 years.

A few hours ago and without warning, Torrentz disabled its search functionality. At first sight the main page looks normal but those who try to find links to torrents will notice that they’re no longer there.

Instead, the site is now referring to itself in the past tense, suggesting that after more than a decade the end has arrived.

“Torrentz was a free, fast and powerful meta-search engine combining results from dozens of search engines,” the text reads.

The site’s user are no longer able to login either. Instead, they see the following message: “Torrentz will always love you. Farewell.”

Torrentz itself never hosted any torrent files but did have a takedown procedure in place, allowing copyright holders to take down infringing links.

Not all right holders were happy with the site though. Both RIAA and MPAA have reported the site to the U.S. Government in recent years, which repeatedly placed it its annual “Out-of-Cycle Review of Notorious Markets.”

With Torrentz.eu and KickassTorrents both shutting down, the torrent community lost two of the largest sites in a period of three weeks. This means that millions of users will have to find new homes.

    Top 5 famous website shutdowns-Torrentz,Yify,Kat

Second amon the list of Top 5 famous website shutdowns is Kickass Torrents — the world’s top website for illegally sharing movies, TV shows and music — has been taken down by the U.S. government on July 20,2016.

The website’s alleged owner, Artem Vaulin, a 30-year-old Ukrainian man, was arrested in Poland on Wednesday.

KickassTorrents (commonly abbreviated KAT) was a website that provided a directory for torrent files and magnet links to facilitate peer-to-peer file sharing using the BitTorrent protocol. It was founded in 2008 and went offline on 20 July 2016, when the domain was seized by the United States government. The site’s proxy servers were shut down by its staff at the same time.

Although the sharing was free, Kickass Torrents was raking in advertising revenue on its website — maybe as close as $17 million a year, according to some estimates listed in the agent’s affidavit.

Federal agents allegedly identified Vaulin by an online name, tirm. They then used records kept by Apple to link the Apple email account tirm@me.com to Vaulin. They also looked into Vaulin’s records at Facebook.

Top 5 Disadvantages of iPhone 7- iPhone 7 Demerits

YTS.to and YIFY are shut down forever. “That site/release group is never coming back,” Andy from TorrentFreak told Heavy. For over a week, the YTS site was down without any warning or explanation, and YIFY stopped issuing any new releases. At first, it was thought to just be a DDOS attack or internal server errors. But now it’s known that YIFY has been completely dismantled and will not release any more torrents. Neither the site nor its operator have made an official statement.

Now it’s been revealed that YIFY and YTS were shut down because of a lawsuit from the MPAA. The MPAA studios filed a suit against YTS in New Zealand on October 12, Variety reported. The MPAA then obtained an interim injunction that ordered the YTS operator to shut down the site and not promote it in any fashion.

Many users liked YTS because it allowed movie downloading at smaller sizes, with decent quality that could play on almost any device. Visitors also liked how user friendly the website was.

A US Department of Justice (DOJ) domain seizure notice first appeared on Sharebeast.com on Friday (September 11).

Anyone visiting the domain is now confronted by the notice (pictured), which states that the FBI has taken control of the site ‘pursuant to a seizure warrant issued by a United States District Court’.

Sharebeast’s related sites such as mp3pet.com and albumjams.com also now display the notice.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) said that the Sharebeast network of sites was responsible for the distribution of a massive library of popular albums and tracks.

It reports that Sharebeast has been “particularly problematic in its distribution of pre-release leaks of thousands of songs”.

This came about after winning an injunction on October 16, 2015, to shut the website down.

Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes

Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes

Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes – Mosquitoes are considered one of the most dangerous creatures on the planet because of their ability to spread deadly diseases.over one million people worldwide die from mosquito-borne diseases every year. Not only can mosquitoes carry diseases that afflict humans, they also transmit several diseases and parasites that dogs and horses are very susceptible to. In addition, mosquito bites can cause severe skin irritation through an allergic reaction to the mosquito’s saliva – this is what causes the red bump and itching.

These are some of the Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes:

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]1[/mks_dropcap]Zika Fever

Zika Virus is at the first position among the Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes. Having spread to almost every country in the Americas, on 1 February 2016, the Zika virus was declared a global public health emergency by World Health Organization Director-General Margaret Chan, who called it an “extraordinary event“. On 13 April 2016, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a report confirming that the Zika virus does cause a rare birth defect called microcephaly – a neurological disorder that results in babies being born with abnormally small heads and developmental issues.

The Zika virus is typically transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, but it can also be spread sexually, causing the CDC to update its guidance to couples.  Aedes aegypti mosquitoes are aggressive daytime biters and officials are warning people of the need to be vigilant, cover up and reapply repellent regularly.  The Asian tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) which is also established throughout the United States, and transmits dengue fever and Chikungunya, may also be capable of transmitting the Zika virus.

There is no vaccine, treatment or cure for the disease and travelers to infected areas are being urged to prevent mosquito bites as the best and only protection against the disease.  Pregnant women are being warned against travel to countries where Zika is present because of risk to their unborn babies.

Most people infected with Zika (80%) have no symptoms or don’t realise they have it because symptoms are typically mild.  Common signs to look out for include slight fever, rash, joint pain and conjunctivitis (red eyes).

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]2[/mks_dropcap]Malaria

Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes

Caused by parasites, primarily Plasmodium falciparum or Plasmodium vivax. Female Anopheles mosquitoes pick up the parasites by feeding on infected humans. The parasites develop in a mosquito’s body for 10 to 18 days, then is passed on when the mosquito injects saliva while feeding.

Once in the human body, malaria parasites migrate to the liver, where they grow and multiply. Eventually the parasites move into the blood stream to continue developing in red blood cells. As they multiply and are released, they destroy the blood cells.

This is the stage when those infected begin to show symptoms such as fevers, chills, sweating, headaches and other flu-like conditions. The infection can sometimes produce even more severe reactions, including kidney failure and death, especially if left untreated.

Quinine and other anti-malarial drugs cure patients by attacking the parasites in the blood.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]3[/mks_dropcap]West Nile virus
Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes
Culex quinquefasciatus, known vector of West Nile virus.

West Nile Fever is one of the most dangerous Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes. It is a viral infection carried in the blood of birds. Culex mosquitoes pick it by feeding on infected birds, then, after it spreads through their systems, pass it to humans through their saliva during feeding.

The West Nile virus multiplies in the human blood stream and is carried to the brain, where it begins to affect the central nervous system and causes inflammation of brain tissue, known as encephalitis. If this happens, a person will develop high fever, headaches, swollen lymph nodes and stiff neck.It spreads through saliva and breast-feeding from mother to the children.

In the most severe cases, the infection can lead to convulsions, coma and death. Even if a severely infected person survives, there is a good chance of permanent neurological damage.

There is no specific treatment of West Nile virus. However, only one in 150 people infected with West Nile virus experience severe symptoms. People over 50 are most at risk. About 80 percent of those infected show no symptoms at all, according to the CDC

Researchers believe that people who are infected once develop a natural immunity to West Nile virus that will last the remainder of their lives.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]4[/mks_dropcap]Dengue fever

Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes

At the forth position f of Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes it is Dengue Fever. Another infection caused by one of four viruses common to tropical and subtropical climates. The disease is spread by Aedes mosquitoes in much the same way as West Nile and other encephalitic viruses. A mosquito is able to transmit dengue about a week after biting an infected person.

As the dengue virus multiplies and damages cells, an infected person begins to show symptoms similar to other infections: High fever, headaches, back and joint pain, rashes and eye pain. If the fever lasts up to a week and is followed by bruising and bleeding, those are symptoms of dengue hemorrhagic fever.

About 100 million people worldwide are infected with dengue each year, especially in Africa and the tropical Western Hemisphere. Hemorrhagic fever cases are estimated in the hundreds of thousands. It is more common to Southeast Asia, where children are especially susceptible.

Like most viruses, there is no specific treatment. Doctors recommend acetaminophen, plenty of fluids and rest for dengue and hospitalization for hemorrhagic fever.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]5[/mks_dropcap]Yellow fever

Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes

A flavivirus orginally common to primates in Africa and South America. Like dengue, it is transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, especially Aedes aegypti, the yellow fever mosquito. It is one of the most irritating fever among the Top 5 deadly diseases caused by Mosquitoes.

The virus incubates in the body for three to six days before an infected person begins to show the common infection symptoms of fever, chills, headache and nausea. There may be a short remission before the disease returns with much more serious symptoms such as nosebleeds, bloody vomit and abdominal pain.

While there is no treatment for yellow fever, it is possible to be vaccinated against infection for those living in or traveling to climates where the disease is prevalent.

Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics

Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics

Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics Rio de Janeiro has Olympic-sized problems. Brazil is plagued by water pollution, a financial crisis, crime, body parts washing ashore (yes, you read that right), and a major health threat from the mosquito-borne Zika virus. But despite all all the uncertainty, the Summer Olympics are set to begin on August 5 as scheduled. Let’s take a closer look at seven challenges facing the Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]1[/mks_dropcap]Zika Virus

Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics

The First & worst problem among the Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics is the Zika Virus. The Zika virus has made headlines ever since it spread across Brazil last year. A mosquito-transmitted infection, Zika has been linked to extreme birth defects in newborns. The good news? In June, the World Health Organization confirmed that there’s a “very low risk” of an outbreak during the Rio 2016 Olympics. The bad news? While chances of athletes or tourists contracting Zika are slim, no one is completely immune to it.

Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics

Police in Rio de Janeiro, many of whom have not received their salary in months, staged multiple protests throughout the city, demanding the government pay them and warning off tourists with signs reading, “Welcome to Hell.” The government of Rio de Janeiro has run out of money for a variety of items needed to serve the public good, among them being gasoline for police patrol cars and other basic items.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]3[/mks_dropcap]Public corruption

Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics

Dilma Rousseff, president of Brazil, has been stripped of her powers since her impeachment trial began in May. Accusations have been made that Rousseff broke laws by faking the size of Brazil’s budget deficit. Now, Reuters reports that Brazil’s senate may take its final vote on Rousseff’s impeachment during the Olympics. A vote of this kind to take place before the ceremonies end is sure to be embarrassing for the Rio 2016 Olympics legacy.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]4[/mks_dropcap]Financial Emergencies

Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics

With only two months before the start of the Olympic Games, the governor of Rio de Janeiro declared a state of financial emergency and requested federal funds to help fulfill obligations for public services during the Olympics. In June, the Wall Street Journal reported that Brazil experienced its fifth consecutive quarter of decline, making it the country’s worst recession in more than a century. There are many reasons for the recession, but rising unemployment and political conflicts are chief among them. Cash-poor Brazil has been struggling to bring the Rio 2016 Olympics to life, and while the ceremonies may only last 17 days, the country’s economic crisis has no end in sight.

    [mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”32″ bg_color=”#ef4e3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]5[/mks_dropcap]Polluted Water
Top 5 problems faced by Rio Olympics
Member of a local rowing club have to train among the dead fish in Rodrigo de Freitas

Rodrigo de Freitas, the lagoon that will be used for swimmers and rowers during the Rio 2016 Olympics, is notoriously polluted. A 2015 Associated Press investigation concluded that the waters are “so contaminated with human feces that [athletes] risk becoming violently ill and unable to compete in the games.” Oh, and Brazilian scientists recently found a drug-resistant “super bacteria” in several beaches and venues where swimming and rowing events will be held. The super bacteria can cause urinary, gastrointestinal and pulmonary infections.
